ANNUAL REPORT. The thirteenth annual report of the Masterton Permanent Investment and Building Society, to be submitted to the annual meeting of shareholders, on Monday, October Ist, is as follows:--!n submitting , their balance sheet for the year ended August 31st, 1906", the Directors have to congratulate shareholders on the very satisfactory result of the year's operations. The net profit represents 8.24 per cent, on the capital employed, as against 7.31 per cent, last year, and the loans have inoreased from £39,653 4s lOd in 1905 to £44,944 11a lid in 1906. During the ' year the porI manent capital of the Society has been increased to £IO,OOO by the issue of 129 "O" shares at a premium of £1 per share. Messrs James Maoara and Joseph Payton retire from the Board of Directors this year, but are eligible for re-election. There are no other candidates.
