In the disoussion that ensued ths members oondemned strongly the present unsatisfactory sauitary arrangements existing in country schools, it was generally thought that the diffiulty could be easily cot ovor by a loan seeing that the Education Board hpd raisei difficultes in the way of granting money for the purpose of providing better sanitary arrangements. The following lution was carried as au alternative to the former:—"That the urgent need of providing septic tanks, drainage and efficient water service , for sohools not already so provided be brought by the Association under the notice of the Minister of Education, and Messrs Dick, White and Jesson be a deputation to the Minister to urge the requirements."
