Cook's Piotuiea will be shown in tbe Masterton Town Fall this evening. Concerning the Pictures a contemporary says - —"The collection comprised an extensive range in films all of whioh were well shown. The company are clever entertainers, and know how to present a piograinrne to the best effect. The living pictures were raade more realistic by an accompaniment of "effects" and here and there down tbe programme also were interspersed entertaining vocal items. One of the best of the series of piotnres was that descriptive of the famous play, 'The Sign of the Cross,'of which a targe number of the most important scenes were witnessed. The audienoe, in the interest created by the piotures, were ape to forget the length of the film, and the fact that many hundreds of feet were being run off. 'The Errand Boy' was an amusiug scene; 'Ned Kelly Up-to-date' depicted the aids a modern bushranger could use to effect an escape;and a very fine Australian railway scene taken by Mr Cook as n record for the New South Wales Government was of educational interest, and there wore many other films equally as fine. Street soeues in southern New Zealand cities were viewed with intereat."
