MANGAMAHOE.

(Prom Oar Own Correspondent.) V Friday. An audience of orer one hundred assembled last night to hear a combined concert given by the Kaiparoro and Mangamahoe Clubs. The Kaiparoro part of tne enter* tainment consisted of a farce "In Possession," and comio songs and dialogues. Mr Falkoer, sen. aoted the part of a peppery old major in the farce splendidly, while Mr Lew Parker as the bailitf was excellent. The of her roles were filled by Mr Aleck and Miss M. Palkner and Mr J. McNalty in an able manner. The Mangamahoe part uf the entertainment oonsisted of an entertainment "The Bushmen's Band," and introduced all the characters that assemble iu a back country station In the busy part of the year. They were aa follows:—Station boss, Mr H. Larsen; swagger, Epb Tildesley; Shorty with the concertina, Mr. Shorley; Shepherd, P. Tildesley; ronseabout, Mr M. McGruddy; sheaiers. Messrs G. Salter, V. and l W. Larsen; sailor, T. Carroll,; w "Nelly of the Creek," Miss Sandford; "Sailor Kate," Miss Hodges; cook, Miss May Tildesley; housev maid, Eliza Salter; governess, Miss Fletcher; mistress, Mrs Larsen; visitors, Misses Salter, THdeeley and Shorley. Dialogues, fancy dances, duets, songs and reuitations were introdouced and the "Bushmen's Band" was voted a huge success. Some tableaux brought the whol&to a close. The prettiest tableau was "Brittannia," (Miss Eleanor Shorley) with "Rule Brittannia" played behind the scenes. The most effective was "The Gross" (Mibs Sandord, Miss Campbell softly singing the third verße of "Rook of Ages." A hearty vote of thanks was accorded to the Kaiparoro Club. A meeting is to be held on Thursday, September 27th, to conisder the advisability of erecting a hall, the school room being found to be far too small for concert purposes.
