NIREAHA.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) Wednesday. On Thursday Inst tho School concert was hold ia the Public Hall and was a deoided success. Ou Friday evening a dance wns held in the Hukaciui Hall in aid of the Piano Fund and was n most enjoyable affair. J notice the plot of land round the Nireaha School has been prepared for the pupil's garden. The Committee expeot a visit from the Agricultural Superintendent shortly, when the ground will bo laid off. A meeting of the Nireaha branch of the New Zealand Farmers' Union was held on Monday evening. JMr A. Redpath occupied the chair. A letter Whs received from Air Hogg, M.H. K. approving of the branch's suggestion with regard to cutting up the Reserve into not less than 50 acre sections and promising to help the branch in tbia matter. A letter was received from tho Department of Agriculture offering to send a veterinary officer iu October to lecture. It was sgreed to accept trio offer with thanks. Air T. B. Mason read extracts from Mr Kiusella's book on the dairy industry. These were much appreciated by the gatherng.
