PAHIATUA STOCK SALE. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report:—Despite tfce wretohed weather experienced on Tuesday, Btook came forward id exoesa of advertised numbers. The attendance also of the public was large. The yarding of oattle consisted prinoipally of young steers and heifers and springing heifers. A ohoioe pen of 21 of ihe latter was sold, on accouDt of Mr JR. McKenzie, Mangatoro Valley, the best realising £7 Is. Only one pen of sheep sold, but most of the cattle were disposed of. We quote:—Springing heifers £3 10s, £3 15s, £3 17a 6d, £4, £4 7s 6d, /4 12s, £4 15s, £5 10s, £7 Is; empty forward heifers, £4 Is; 20 months empty heifers, 32s 6d; 2-year empty heifers, £2 6s; mixed yearlings, 265; yearling nteers, 25s to £2 2s; IS-montbs steers, £2 5s to £2 10a; 2-year steers, £2 16s ; 3-year steerß, £4 ; 2 y 2 -year steers, £3 7s to £3 15s; oows and calves, £2 10s to £3; store cows 395.
