THE OPAKI LOOP-LINE.

A SETTLER'S COMPLATNT. Mr J. Burke waited on the Masterton County Council, yesterday, and dre?v attention to the state of the Opaki loop-line. The road had been in existence about 27 years, and nothing had been done to it. It was in a wretched state. He had about 60 or 70 tons of hay in a padduok, and he was unable to get it out owing to the state of the road. He offered to do the ploughing in connection with the formation of the road. On the motion of Or Welch, the Engineer was instructed to take advantage of Mr Burke's offer and to have £SO put on the estimates every year until the work was completed.
