A telegram from Auoklaud states that a ten-year-old boy, named Clifford Collins, a frail little ohap, appeared at the Police Court, and confessed to burgling a store and obstructing tho railway at Henderson. His mother was dead, and Ijis father was a very old man, who had married again. The boy had been living for some weeks in tho aorub at Henderson, leading a life of suoh exposuie that the wonder is he survived it. The Magistrate, after hearing the evidence, decided that the boy, who was an exceptionally bright lad, had not had a fair ohanoe in life, and committed him to an industrial school. NATURAL MODESTY.
