PASPALUM DILATATUM.

The above grass-seed, whioh was introduced into New Zealand a few years ago, with great success, is likely to be used very largely during the forthcoming suwing season. It is reoommended to the pastoralist, grazier, and dairy farmer as a grass that grows vigorously during summer, and makes a splendid sward during the winter. The seed yields enormous orops, stock eating it right down to the roots, while the grass makes excellent hay. In Australia the grass has been even more successful, large areas of land yielding rich orops of the gross. Mr W. Seocombe, of "Thome, ' Central Buoca, New South Wales, was on a visit to the Wairarapa last week, making arrangements for the coming season's supplies. He elsewhere invites settlers who have not previously used the seed to give it a trial, so that they can see for themselves its value as a food for stock. In addition to Mr Seocombe being the holder of both the first and second prizes for his exhibit of paspaium dilatatum at the Annual Exnibition of the Royal Agricultural Sooiety of New South Wales, he has numerous testimonials from settlers from all parts of Australia and New Zealand.
