BAZAAR AND EXHIBITION.

The Bazaar, Exhibition and Art Union in «13 of theMasterton Baud, Fire Brigade and Volunteers was continued last evening. Excellent business was transacted at the vari ous stalls, and the numerous side showH were all well patronised. The valuable trophies offered at the •shooting gallery were keenly competed for. There was another large audience in the Town Hall to witness the dances by Mrs Connop's pupils. The new prouiarome was very much appreciated by the public. The costumes wotn by the dancerß were very pretty. Tne limelight effects were excellent. The opening item was a neatly arranged 'Gipsy chorus by Misses M. Hatofa, M. NormaD, E. Joyce. A. Thompson, E. Braggins, R. Pinbey, J. Miller, Thompson, W. Raynor, E. Pieher, and L. Reynolds, and Masters F. Riohards, H. Fox, J. Giey, V. Norman, and Messrs* U. Gorriuge, B. Temple, and A. Dixon. A Gipsy solo, from "11 Troviitore," was sung very nicely by Miss J. Bennington. The "Fairy Dance" by Miss Smith ("Fairy Queen,') and Misses L. Blockley, N. Blockle.v, L. Gooley, I. Graham Z. Henry, V. ttayner, D. Newton, R. Thompson, I. Counop, H. Simonsou, b. Keisenberg and V. Knowles, was neatly executed and received mi encore. Little Mits C. Counop again showed her cleverness as a dancer in the "Dance of the Dewdrop," and was encored. Another excellent item was the "Snow Ballet by Misses A. Thompson, Norman, Alexander, Andrews, M. Hanley, Nightingale, Hunter, and Sewell. Misses Hunter, E. Fisher, Reynolds, Millar, M. Hanl=y and N. N.'ghtingale, danoed tne "Rose Gavotte" very nicely. "Coming Thro' the Rye," ty Misses Joyce (2), Ulivor, Hatch, Fox, Graham, Volbeim and Conuop was a neatly arranged dance, and received a deserving encore. "Estudentina," a Spanish seranade song and dance was warmly applauded, and encored. I Those taking part in it were Misses Peters, Graham and Humphrey, and Messrs W. Norman, ( J. Wintringham and R. Henry. The latter sang a very nice solo. The programme ooncluded, with a tastefully arranged tableau in which all the i performers took pait. Greathead: No. 80, ticket 3144, Mrs' H. Ewington: No. 87, tioket 3420, Mr O. Ormond; No. 93, tioket 3618, Mr A. Watson; No. 102, ticket 3925, Mr E. Pragnell; No. 107, ticket 4313, Miss Cushion; No. 115, tioket 4098, Mr W. Harding. This afternoon a special matinee performance of dancing will be given in the Town Hall. On Monday evening a torchlight procession will be held, leaving the corner of Chapel and Hall Streets via Chapel, Renall, Queen and Hall Streets to the Drill Hall. The sum of £45 was taken last evening.
