DANGER OF BRITISH SUPINENESS.

The Times devotes a special and a leading article to the vast territories in the Pacific and their commercial and strategic standpoints. The paper mentions the Friendly Groups in a straight line between Sydney and Colon, which, it slates, are destined, after the opening of the canal, to attain an importance similar to that of Singapore and warns Great Britain of the danger of supineneas. The Times also emphasises the growing activities of Australia's foreign neighbours and remarks that Germany has been guided in h9r acquisitions, which have included important naval statious, by a definite plan of action towards an ultimate co-ordination with Dutch possessions, should Holland enter into political communication with Germany.
