BAZAAR AND EXHIBITION.
The Bazaar, Exhibition and Art Union, in aid of the funds of the Masterton Rifle Volunteers, Fire Brigade, and Band was con tiuued in the Drill and Town Halls, yesterday afternoon and evening. There was a large attendance of the public. Good business was done at the various stalls, and sideshows. About £9O was taken alto gether. In the Town Hall, prior to the danoes, the Masterton Municipal Brass Band gave a select programme of music, whioh was very much appreciated. Probably the best item was a descriptive humourous piece entitled "Tue Oat's Rendezvous." The best of the other items'given was 'Tales of Long Ago" (waltz). The danoes were again a great success, many of the items being encored. The Bazaar will be opened this afternoon, when ladies will be admitted free. At 7 o'clock, this evening, a torohlight procession will be held. The Masterton Municipal Band, Volunteers, and Fire Brigade, and the Carterton Band, will take part in the procession, which will start from &e corner of Hall and Chapel Streets, and proceed to th» Drill Hail, via Chapel, Renall, Queen and Hall Streets. The programme of dances will be changed this evening. On Saturday afternoon there will be a special programme of juvenile dancing in the Town Ball. Children will be admitted to the Bazaar and dances on that ocoasion for sixpence.
