The Financial News says that New Zealand thrives and beeps a very level'bead despite pronounced socialistic tendencies. The polioy was not inconsistent with the really sound and cautious management of colonial finances. The paper applauds Sir Joseph Ward's proposals for sinking funds for loans and the redemption of Treasury Hills.
