ATTEMPT TO SWIM THE CHANNEL.
Received August 29, 10.50 p.m. LONDON, August 29. Burgess made another attempt to swim the English Ohannel. After swimming for six hours he encountered an adverse current, and swam back to Dover, covering 25 miles in lOhr 2min.
