GIRL PARACHUTIST KILLED.
THOUSANDS WITNESS H.EK TKRRIBLE J>EATH. Mies Lily Cove, a London parachutist'met with a terrible death yesterday evening at Haworth, neat Keighley, Yorkshire. Miss Oove, who is a pupil of the well-known parachutist, Captain Bidmead bud <*one to Haworth to make a parachute descent at the annual demonstration in aid of the Haworth and Oxenhope District Norses' Association. Thousands of people had gathered to witness the descent, and when Misa Gove was seen to be preparing to leave the balloon a great cheer greeted her. Then she dropped and the, spectators silensly waited for the parachute to open. Bat the parachute remained dosed, and with ever increhsing speed Miss Core fell towards the audience. Horror-stricken, they watched the doomed parachutist, and when the end came several women fainted. Miss Cove was picked up unoonscious, and befcre a doctor reached her side was dead. Miss Cove was only 21 years old, and she had made 21 parachute descents.
