RIFLE MEETINGS AT TRENTHAM.
HUT ACCOMMODATION. "It may be mentioned that something might be done this year in the direction of providing a hut at Trentbam for the accommodation of our members whilst attending meetings. Two of our most prominent members have seoured seotions adjacent to the range, and if a building scheme can be formulated, it will provide a loug-felt wont."—Extract from the annual report of the Of;aki Kifle Glut. At the-annual meeting of members on Saturday evening, the matter was fully dismissed, and it wa<j considered that something should be done. Captain W. J. Welch offered to contribute the sum of £lO towards the onst of erecting a hut adjacent to the rifle range, and he further offered to allow the hut to b8 erected on his section of land there. It was, therefore, decided to endeavour to raise sufficient funds to have the building erected in time for the Boxing Day meeting at Trent ham.
