PREVENTION OF SLEEPING SICKNESS. KING LEOPOLD OFFERS A HANDSOME PRIZE. Received August 26, 4.37 p.m. BRUSSELS, August 25. Besides inserting iu the Estimates for the Congo Free State a sum of £12,000 for propbylaotio research, King Leopold of Belgium has offered a prize of £B,OOO to the discoverer jl a remedy for sleeping sickness. King Leopold has also invited the Liverpool Sohool of Tropical Medicine to submit a soheme for the prevention of the disease.
