Y.M.C.A.
A meeting of members of the Y.M.C.A, was held last evening for the purpose of forming a branch of St John's Ambulanoe Corps. / Mr Alex. Donald was voted to th 6 chair, and explained that Dr. J. A. Cowie had undertaken to conduct weekly lectures, and carry out matters in connection with the work. It was decided to form such a branch to be called the Y.M.C.A. St. John's Ambulanoe Corps. Mr C. Fielding was appointed Organising Secretary, and undertook to arrange for the firs*: meeting of the Corps on Thursday next, at 7 p.m. Twenty-two names were handed in ior membership. Mr A. Donald was elected Chairman for the ensuiug session of the Corps, during which five or more leotures will be delivered by Dr. uowie. It was deuided that all members of the Y.M.C.A. be admitted to membership free, but that a charge of 5s be made to non-members.
