H.M.S. DREADNOUGHT.
A RECORD IN RAPID BUILDING.
Received August 23, 8.50. a.m. LONDON, August 22. The first-class battleship Dreadnought (18,000 t'jns) will be placed io commission on September Ist, thus putting up a record in rapid building. (It was not expected that the Dreadnought,* which was lauaohed by his Majesty ou February 10th last, would be completed bufore February®uexfc, The rapidity of her construction outrivals that of the Majestic and Magnificent, which were completed within two years from the date of the laying of their first steel plates. The Dreadnought was laid down on October 2nd, 1905, though some material bad previously been built into her.)
