NATAL.
Received August 22, 10 a.m. PIETERMA RITZBURG, August 21. The seutenoes of death passed on the Natal "rebel leaders Osseni and Ndhlovaktimua have been commuted to penal servitude for life. The mintir chiefs, Sikubu and Tiloako, have been sentenced to ten years' imprisonment, and fined to the extent of the cattle they own.
AMALGAMATION
Reoeived August 22, 10 a.m. CAPETOWN, August 21. Mr Watt, Minister of Justice, speaking at Charleston, expressed the hope that there would 'be an eaily amalgamation of Natal and the Transvaal.
