THE GAUMONT CHRONOPHONE.
On Thursday and Friday evenings next, August 23rd and 24tb, the Stonbam Morrison Company will present to the public of Masterton the inuoh-talkod-of animated and articulating piotures. Judging by the reports the company has been receiving whorever it has appeared, tho public of Masf.erton should not be disappointed in the now electrical invention. Tho Auckland Herald, speaking of the company's opening performance, said: "A very large audience gathered to see tho uaumont Chronopboue, which is being infcrujluced to New Zealand by Messrs Stonham and Morrison, The Uaumont Chronophone ia a very good attempt at what has been the aim of inventors for years past, namely, to produce tbe accompanying sounds with moving pictures. A number oi very fine moving pictures were plaoed on the machine, ami the singers were shown in animated pictures at the same timo. in nil tbe songs the sound kept paoe with the singers' lips as seen on the screen." The box plan is open at Miss Kive's, where seats may be booked.
