WAIRARAPA HUNT STEEPLE OHASE MEETING.
Tbe Wairarapa Hunt Club will hold a steeplechase meeting on tbe Taratahi-Carterton racecourse on Thursday, September 6tb. The following programme has been drawn up:— Hunters' Handicap -Hurdles, of £lO, second hnrse to receive £3 from stake; J}4 mile. For qualified hunters only. Minimum weight Hat. Entry IDs. To start at 12.30 p.m. Handicap Flat Race, of £lO, second horse to receive £2 from stake; about 6 furlongs; lOst up. Entry 10s. To start at 1.10 p.m. Taratahi Steeplechase Handicap, of £7, second horse trophy value £2 2s, presented by Mr P. Cooper. About 2 mile?. For horses only that have qualified with the Wairarapa Hunt during season 1906. To be ridden by members of the Wairarapa Hunt. Minimum weight, lint. Entry 9a. To start at 150 p.m. Hack Handicap (flat), of £2O, second horse to receive £5 from the stake; about 7 furlongs. Open to liacke. Entry £t. '1 o start at 2,30 C.ID. Wairarapa Hunt Steeplechase (handicap), of £2O, second horse to recoive £3 from stake. For qualified hunters only. About 2>£ miles. Entry 20s. To start at 3.10 p.m. Ladies' Bracelet Handicap (flat), a lady's bracelet value £6 6s, presented by tbe Misses Booth; second horse silver teapot, value £3 3s, presented by Mrs C. F. Vallance; about mile, for horses only that have qualified with Wairarapa Hunt during season 1906. To be nominated by ladies. Minimum weight lOst 7lb. Entry 9s. To start at 3.50 p.m. Hunters' PJat Race (handicap), of £ls, second burse to receive £3 from stake; about 2 miles. For qualified hunters only. Entry 15s. To start at 4.30 p.m. Entries will close with the secretary, Mr Norman H. James, P.O. Box 120, Masterton, at 9 p.m. "ii Saturday, 25th August, 1906. Bookmakers will be licensed to bet at tbe meeting on payment of £5 ss, and depositing £SO eajh with the Secretary as a guarantee of stability, such payment and deposit to be made before 12 o'clock noon on th« day of the races.
