A RESOLUTION OF SYMPATHY
Received August 17, 9.47 p.m. CALCUTTA, Auguat 17. A meeting of planters and native gentlemen at Golagbat, Assam, adopted a resolution of sympathy with Sir J. B. Fuller, LieutenantGovernor, on his enforced resignation "through the action of a body of seditious agitators." The resolution added: "The action of the Government showed a want of consideration for Europeans, Mahommedans, and the whole of the Loyalists."
