CHRISTCHUROH, August 16. The Canterbury Jockey Club's Grand National Meeting whs tinued, at Riccarton, to di*y. The morning broke dull, but as the afternoon wore on the weather clearer], and the sun shone out brightly. The course, hnwever, was very damp, and the going was heavy. The racing was interesting, and speculation brisk, the total money put through the machine amounting to £17,573. In addition to this £1,421 bad been invested on the double, Pbaetoaitis aud Cuiragno returning a dividend of £3l 19s.
