MASTERTON HOSPITAL TRUSTEES.

MONTHLY MEETING. The monthly meeting of the Masterton Hospital Trustees was held yesterday morning. There were present—Messrs A. W. Hogg (obairmau), J. A. Renall, J. B. Keith, M. J. H. Jackson, W. Fisher and W. Harris. The Treasurer'reported as follows: --Receipts for the month £256 16s, disbursements £B6 lis 10rl, or. halanoe at date £893 13s Bd. Accounts amounting to £il lis were passed for payment. Tbe Matron reported thai, there were ten patients in the Hospital at last meeting, sixteen admitted sinae, Dine discharged, three died, leaving fourteen in the institution at present. Nurs>e Hare wrote resigning her position as probationer nurse. The' resignation was accepted. Five tenders were received for the new Hospital building.. Before accepting apy of the tenders it was reaolved that a committee, consisting of Messrs Hogg, Renall, Keith and Ewington, go into the matter of ways and means and report to a special meeting of tbe Trustees to be held next week, A letter was received from the Town Clerk urging the necessity for increased accommodation being made for infeotious diseases cases. Ihe letter stated that owing to the insufficient accommodation at the Hope Street Hospital, isolation in many cases could not be affected. The matter required immediate attention.—lt was stated that the District Hospital Board was tbe responsible body, and no action was takea in the matter.
