The stook on hand is 869 tons, as against 2,859 tons for the corresponding period last year, lyair current Manila, ou spot, is bringing £43 per ton. The cocksfoot market is. quiet with a tendency in favour of buyers. American seed is freely offered. The wool market is quiet,, with no alteration iu prices. Nhw Zealand long berried wheat, on spot, ex-granary, is quoted at 31a to 32s per 4961b5, and short berried at 30s 6"d to 31s 6d. These prices •are nominal. New Zealand sparrowbill oats, ex granary, per 3841 bs, are quoted at 24s (5d to 25s 6ct,fand Danish oats, per 3201b5, are selling at 19a to 20s. The market is. quiet, and only a small business is doing. The market is firm, for New„ Zealand ueans; f.a.q, old, crop, 34s Gd to 355, per 5041b5. The market for peas is steady; New Zealand partridge is quoted at 42s to 50s, and blue at 30s to 40s, per 5041b5. FROZEN MEAT MARKET, Received August 13, 7.10 a.m. i LONDON, August 12. Sheep unchanged. Lambs: Canterbury, light 4 11-16 d, medium 4 9 16d, heavy 4%d; Southland and North Island 4d. River Plate sheep and beef are unchanged.
