PRJZE3 FOR SCHOOL CHILDREN. Messrs W. Perry and D. McGregor, jnr., the flab-Committee appointed by A. and P. Association to draw up a list: of classes in elementary agriculture in connaotion with the competition for school children, recommended to the meeting of the General Committee, on Saturday, the adoption of the following prize list, to be open for competition to all children attending schools adjaoent to tiie Master-ton-Oastlepoint Road. Produce tp be grown on ' school plots and certified to by the teacher. Entries of plots to be made on December 15fcb, ( 1906, and judged about two weeks before,the show. Entries for other classes to close at tae same time as show entries, iand judged on the second day of the show: (1) Best plot at Masterton District High School, including care of tools; first prize 15s, second prize 10s. (2). Best plot in other sohools, including care of tools; first prize 15s, seoond prize 10s, (3). Potatoes; named varieties, ( not less than ,6 points; firsts prize 7s | 6d, seoond prize ss, third prize 2s. (4). One cabbage, any variety; first prize 5s, 1 second prize 3a, third prize 2s. (5). One cauliflower; first prize ss, seoond prize 3s, third prize 2s. (6) Three lettuce; first prize ss, seoond prize 3a, third prize (7). Six oarrcts; flm prize ss, seoond prize 3q, third prize 2s.
(8). Six parsnips; first prize ss, second prize 3s, third piize 2s. (9). Six turnips; first prize ss, second prize 3e, third, prize 2s. (10). Peas, twelve pods: first prize ss, seoond prize 3s, third prize 2s.
(11) Broad Beans,. twelve pods; first prize ss, second prize 3s, third priZß ua. (12). Scarlet runners, twelve pods; first prize ss, seoond prize 3a, third prize 28. (13). French beans, twelve pods; first prize sa, second prize 3s, third prize 2s. (14), Radishes, twelve; first prize ss, second prize 3s, third prize 2s. (15). Best ooileotion of sweet peas, named; first prize ss, {second prize 3s, third prize 2s. (16). Best collection pennies; first prize ss, second prize 3s, third prize 2s (17). Best collection flowers, na*ned; first prize ssj seoond prize 3s, third prize 23. (18). Collection of the beat fifty heeds of the foilowinK grains :~ Wheat (Tuscan), Oats (Danish Gray); first prize ss, second prize 3s, third prize 2s. It was deoided to satmifc the report to the Programme Committee with a recommendation that it be adopted.
