WAIRARAPA COURSING CLUB.
SECOND DAY. The August Meeting of the Wairaxapa Coursing Club was concluded cn the Showgrounds yesterday. Thero was a fair attendance of the public. The finals of the Looal and Sat ling Stakes were deoided, and some good coursing was witnessed. In the Maiden Sweepstake, Tutanekai and Release should ha,ve ran off ior the final, but the owner withdrew Release, and the stake was awarded to the owner of Tutanekai. Mr J. Cairns proved himself to be a capable secretary, and he was ably agisted by a strong committee. 'J'he decisions of the judge (Mr W. Dowling) gave every satisfaction. The results are as follow: MAIDEN SWEEPSTAKE. Third Round. Wee Robbie beat Country Girl Tutanekai beat Laurel Yum Yum boat Fearl Release a bye Fourth Round. Tutanekai boat Wee Robbie Release beat Yum Yum Final Round. Release forfeited to Tutanekai. LOCAL STAKE. Second Bound. Royalist beat Stringy Bark The Marquis beat King Edward VII. Warnote beat Red Fern, Third Round. Marquis beat Royalist Warnote a bye ; Final Round. Warnote beat Marquis SAPLING STAKE, Second Round. Independence beat Keepsake Someday beat Destruction Final Round. Indopendenoe beat Someday.
