HOCKEY.
AUCKLAND v. WAIRARAPA.
v Although the game of hookey has been played by a large number of teams in the Wairarapa dnring the past two seasons, the public of Masterton have not been given an opportunity of witnessing a really firstclass game betweon representative teams. On Monday next, however, a tine exhibition of hookey should be given on the Masterton Showgrounds, when the Auokland representatives meet the Wairarapa team. The local team is a fairly strong one, while the Auokland combination is one of the best iu the- colony, l'he playing field on the Showgrounds is in good order, and the game should be very fast. Mr S. A. Noble-Campbell will aot as referew.
WAIRARAPA LADIES' ASSOCIATION. POSITION OP TEAMS. By their win over Glengarry on Thursday the Grey town team poured the Hughes Shield for the season. Each team in the competition, with the exception of the Raupo and Huia Clubs, has played seven matches. Kaupo and Huia have still onematuh to play. The positions of the clubs are as follow: —
