FOOTBALL.
WAIRARAPA v. CANTERBURY. At the request of the Canterbury Rubgy Union the date of the Waira-rapa-Canterbury match has been altered from Wednesday, August 15th, to Thursday, 16th, The match will be played at Masterhon, on the Showgrounds, and ther* should be a large attendance of the public as a good game should result. R. G. Deans, of the "All Black" team in included in the Canterbury team. The Wairarapa team will probably be picked to-morrow. The representative matoh between the Bush Seuiors and Wairarapa, Thursday Seuiors will be played at Oarterton next Thursday (August 9tb). In order to enable the visitors to return home the same day, the gam© will oommence at 2.15 p.m. sharp.
