MONTGOMERY'S ENTERTAINERS.
To-night, at the Town Hall, Mr Edmund Montgomery's Company will re-appear in Masterton after a somewhat lengthy absence. Since last visit here, Mr Montgomery has greatly strengthened and improved bis organisation by the importation of the very latest innovations in machinery for picture portrayal. A very fine and varied assortment of the latest successes in London and America, in moving piotures, is promised by Mr Montgomery during his present season here. Special interest attaches to tbe films of the visitations wbioh recently overwhelmed the beautiful city of San Franoisoo. Another stirring event will also be vividly depicted, viz., Mount Vesuvius in eruption. In the picture the ruins of Pompeii are very clearly represented. Among miscellaneous subjects are many other new flpeoim°ns of cinematography, including a film depicting the life of Marie Antoinette. Sporting patrons will find something exactly to their taste, in "The Derby Winner," one of j Bland Holt's greatest dramatio sue- ] cesses, also "Tbe Life of a Racehorse," and an exceptionally fine reproduction of a cross-country event between tbe flags. Scenes and inoi* dents of a distinctly humorous nature will form a conspicuous part of the pictorial display. Prominent among tbeni will be "A Trip to the Moon," "Sandy Maok's Bath," "Scenes on Every Floor of a Parisian Boarding-house," "Saturday's Wages," "A Policeman's Troubles," "The Stolen Pig," and "Contortion Extraordinary." Lovers of the sensational are recommended to see' "The Daring American Bank Burglary." The company bring their own electrio'light plant with them. Among the contributors to tbe musical portion of the programme will be Mr W. H. Montgomery, brother of the proprietor and quite a recent arrival from the Old Country. He was formerly principal baritone to the famous D'Oyley Carte Opera Company. Hiß vocal powers are said to be of a very high order. Tbe season is limited to two nights only, and an entire change of programme in every detail will be given on Friday night. Tbe plan of reserved seats is now open at Miss Hive's. No extra charge is made for booking.
