OTICE is hereby given that it is the intention of the Akitio County Council, with the consent of the ratepayers interested, to raise a loan of Eight Thousand Pounds for two successive years' expenditure, for the purpose of metalling Alfredton-Weber-road, Ealtaunui to Pongaroa £900; Pongarop, to Waione, £1350; metalling Makuri-Pongaroa-road, £1850; formation and metalling Ponparoa-Akitio-aoad, £2550; metalling Makuri-Rakauuui-road known as Rirna-road, £450; formation and metalling Towai-road, £9OO. To meet the interest, sinking fund, and annual charges of the said loan, it is proposed to strike a special rate of two-fifths of one penny in the pound on the rateable value for the time being over the whole of the Akitio County. The cost of raising loan and clerical expenses to be paid out of the loan. The interest on the said loan to be at the rate of 11 per centum, per annum for a term of forty-one years. A meeting of ratepayeis interested will be held at the PongaroaTown Hall, Pongaroa, on Saturday, 4th August, 1906, at 1 p.m., and at the Akitio Ferry House, Akitio, Mr J. D.
