ARRIVAJLi AT DUNBDIN. By Telegraph—ProßS Association. DUNBDIN, July 23 The Premier (Hon. W. Hall-Jones) arrived by the first express to-day, and. was seen shortly af tei by a deputation who wished to obtain his sanction to the plans for a Maternity Home i.'i brick, it having been found that the wooden bi.ildiug, for the conversion of which the lute Premier had placed £SOO on the Intimates, has been practically destroyed by tho white pine borer. . This evening the Premier and the Directors of the Union Company and a representative of HuddartParker and Co., are in consultation as to fares, etc., in connection with-the Christohu' , oh Exhibition. The Premier will have a busy day to-morrow with deputations..
