MONTGOMERY'S COMPANY.
After a lengthy absence Montgomery's Company will re-visit Masterton on Thursday next with new cinematograph pictures. Those two recent stirring events, the San Francisco tragedy, and the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius, will be both graphically and realistically pourtrayed. A large number of miscellaneous films will alao be shown, and many of the subjects are said to be perfect triumphs in higb-olass cinematography. Most of the films are of great length and varied in character. "A Trip Up Mount Blanc'* (in 18 scenes), 'is considered to be one of the most difficult of biograpb achievements. "The Life of Marie Antiuuette," from Queen to scaffold is a beautiful historical series, and in order to secure the original surroundings the palace, Petit Trianon at Vemaillei, was closed for three days while the photographs weie being taken. Those of a sensational nature include, "Ihe Daring American Bank Robbery," "Tampering with the Derby Favourite," while spoiling patrons will also be interested in "The Life of a Racehorse" from foal to the turf. The new collection is sa'd to be especially strong in comedy. Among thorn are great fun uiakers in "The Absent Minded Beggar," "Bill Bailey's Surprise," "Sandy's Bath," "The Up.a and Downs of Murphy," "A Trip to the Moon," "Th j Omeis," Jind "Scenes on Every Floor."
