FUNERAL PARTY KILLED.
LIGHTNING CLAIMS MANY VICTIMS IN A GfIUFOH. Daring a storm of unprecedente3 -violence which broke over Komaka'*, near Tesohen, in Austrian Silesia, the lightning struck the village church, which was crowded at the time by a funeral party. First there came a terrible crash, then the church began to shake, and a bright bine flaßh was seen inside, lor the ligtninG! bad passed down the steeple into the nave. It struok a group of mourners, and shrieks of terror resounded through the build log,. The whole group of fifteen was Jrflled, and many others were seen rolling on the floor in agony, having been'burnt in a horrible manner. Many of the wounded are mortally injured, and others will be crippled lor life. These victims, who included the pastor, number in all thirty-three. Some have not yet recovered' from the effects of atunning, and' others have lost the power of memory. Ouriouply enough the oharoh itself was little injured. The villaige is giving over to mourning, but rescuers have hastened to it from all the surrounding districts.
