Commencing the season with a credit balance of £27 12s Bd, we finish the year with a debit balance of £145 }9s, occasioned by the expenditure in improvements. The profits for the whole season amount to about £740, out, of which a large amount has been spent in permanent improvements and the purchase of a totalisator. The stakes for the season were inoreased by £265, a new training trauk laid down and fenced at a cost of over £3OO, and in addition the whole of the racing track was top dressed at a oost of over £35, the totalisator house enlarged, and other necessary works effected. The raoing track is now in first-class order. In eooordance with the resolution of the members, the Stewards purchased from Messrs Turn bull and Jones, of Ohristohurob, one of the latest make of totalisators at a cost of £l9O, and same was worked by the Club's employees at both the meetings, with inoreased profit to the club and satisfaction to the sporting public.
