The Russian newspapers, commenting on »;ho acq'iittal of Admiral Rozhdestvenaky and the sentencing of four officers concerned in the surrender of the Russian destroyer Bildovy in the battle of Tsushima, describe the court-martial as a farce. Subordinate officers who risked dishonour to save their chief, the papers state, have been made a soapegoat for the Tsushima disaster. A DARING ROBBERY. RAILWAY CASHIER ATTACKED. Received July la, 8.40 B.m. ST. PETERSBURG, July 11. A daring robbery took place at noon yesterday in the centre of Warsaw. Ten arm«d men stopped the carriage containing the cashier of the Vistula railway while he was proceeding to the bank escorted by two soldiers. The men killed the soldiers, seized three bags containing ten thousand roubles, and esoaped. The oashler managed to conceal fifty thousand roubles. AN ADMIRALTY CASHIER SHOT. An armed man shot the Admiralty cashier on the steps of the paymaster's department at St. Petersburg, and after robbing him of twentyflve thousand roubles, escaped. ABOLITION OF THE DEATH PENALTY. Renter's St. Petersburg correspondent states that the Committee of the Council of the Empire, by eight votes to seven, approved ot the Bill to abolish the death penalty. The soldiera and police are terribly incensed at the numerous murders of their comrades.
