REDUCTION OF BATTLESHIPS. Received July 11, 8.38 a m. LONDON, July 10. An acute difference exists between the Treasury and the Admiralty respecting the redaction of battleships in the new programme. ARMY REDUCTIONS. , Reoeived July 11, 8.38 a.m. LONDON, July 10. In anticipation of the proposal to be brought forward on Thursday by Mr Haldaue, Seoretary of State for War, to reduce the army, strong opposition is being manifested in military circles in India. It is believed the Indian Government will also oppose the proposal.
