A farmer who recently left Canterbury to take up a large estate in the Waikato was asked by a representative of the Waikato Times what was the reason for the differ ence between prices quoted for North Island and Canterbury frozen lambs. In reply, he said: "As far as I can see the root of the trouble is that the lambs in the North Island are hardly finished off enough. From what I have so far seen, it seems to me that many of the lambs are sent away just about a fortnight too soon. We ought to get the same money as they do in Canterbury, for as far as my experience goes, we have much the same class of sheep." Da. Sheldon's New Discover*.
