WELLINGTON LAND BOARD.
The following is the concluding business of the Wellington Land Board's monthly sittine:--A. Red path forwarded ft eketoh of the proposed soenio reserve on part of section 12, block 7, Tararua.— Postponed for consideration until the land is being dealt with. A. Hunter applied to leave the Totara resere, Hukanui, sections 6 and 89, blook 1, Mangaone.—-The Grown Lands Ranger is to report /on the best method of dealing with the land, in view of the various applications reoeived for it; also, as to whether the tramway could not be strengthened, so as not to spoil the subdivision. B. Buokeridge asked whether he was still in charge of the homestead un section 3, block 8, Huangarua.—The section has been alotted to R.| W. Nunn; applicant is not required to remain there any longer. R. A. Renall apolied to be allowed to out about 20,000 feet of timber aDd some scrub on section 3, blook 8, Huangarua (Longbush) for building purposes and grassing the scrub land.—The Board approved the cutting of the timber for applicants' buildings; ranger to report on the proposal to out the eorub. H. 0. Thomson applied to graze his stock ove 1 * part of the Urown lands forest reserve of 2,700 acres adjoining his sections in block 1, MikJmiki.—•Declined. With reference to the disposal of the building at Waione, ereoted by the Road Inspector's office, the Commissioner informed the Board that it was asked for by the|Poatal Depaitmentjfor a post office.—Resolved to withold the section pro tern, to enable the Poßtal Department to move in the matter. In regard to the grazing by Mr E. Buokeridge, senr., on sections in the Mahukpuku estate, after the period of his lease had expired it was deoided to demand treble fees and authorise the Commissioner to take legal proceedings to reoover if not paid. With reference to grazing on sentionsin the Dyer settlement by Messrs A. Armstrong and J. O'Keefe, after the period of lease had expired, it was deoided to demand the fees already claimed by the Commissioner, and if not paid, to authorise legpl action. Mr S. Tully applied to be allowed to select part of sections 21, blook 7, Makuri, offered tp the former lessee of his section, R. T. Rhodes, on the same terms and conditions.— referred to rang«r/to report whether any adjustment of areas can be arrived at between the adjoining owners. I The Peatherston Town Board applied to have section 37, Featherston township, vested iu it as a site for a publio pound^—The vesting was approved, after the purpose of its present reservation has been changed, j
