The Manawatu Times has the following in gcounectiou with Edison's Pictures: —The viewo which thrown en a canvas screen 24ft square, were without doubt the finest and best shown pictures that have yet heen seen in Palmerston, a noticeable feature being the absence of any,"flickering." The first views to le depicted were the series entitled "America at Work." That which Poster describes in his interesting book, "America 'at Work," the photographer presents in views. Some of the best pictures were those depiotmg San Kranoisco after the earthquake. There was also a fine collection "of miscellaneous views, some exceedingly humorous. |Those deserving of special mention were: "Stolen by Gioßies," "A miller's daughter," "Boarding school girls at Coney Island," "A chase through New York streets," and "Sing Sing Prison," the latter film depicting a daring escape of half a dozen convicts.
