THE "ALL-BLACK" FAMILY.

"Good wine needs no bush," and to praise this delightful entertainin en ta like gilding refined gold, or painting the lily; wherever in our colony the art of masic ia loved, the name of the Black Family is, says a North Maud paper, known as a household one, and together tney give a performance, which considerng their number, it would be difficult to equal, and practically impossible to surpass. Versatility is the key-note of their entertainment, and it is wonderful bow much this happy family can do, for there is not a dull moment from the rise to tha fall of the curtain, whilst a charm and colour pervade the whole perform ance that catches and holds the audience maguetically. They presented a varied programme, every item of which was enjoyed. The orchestra gave two selections. Miss Nellie sang gloriously and played the violin divinely. She is an exceedingly clever artiste. Miss Blsie gave s'erio-oomio items, played the flute, and joined with Mr Bert in novel dances. The letter's cornet playing and performances on various other instruments were good. Mr J. Black's vooalism brought down the house, He and Miss Nellie produced ■a coaple of comic operettas, whioh were most entertaining. A mando line quartette was a splendid contribution., On the whole the Black Family's entertainment is one that can be confidently commended to publio patronage whenever there ia an opportunity of hearing and seeing them." The admission charge is la to all parts downstairs, and. lis -6d to the dreas airole. The box plan ia now open at Miss A. £3. Rive's.
