MASTERTON ODDFELLOWS' LODGE.

QUARTERLY MEETING

She quarterly meeting * o f the Masterton Oddfellows' Lodge was held last evening- There was a large attendance of members. Bro. P. Smith, N.G., occupied the chair. A letter was received from the Wellington District Committee, congratulating the Masterton Lodge on having dow a membership of over 100. Two friends were duly initiated into the Order, Bro. Deugarde, P.G., of the. Harry Cox Lodge, Broken , Hill, acting as Initiating Master/ Four new mem bers were proposed fur admittance. The eleotion of officers for the oarrent quarter resulted as follows : G.M., Bro. P. Smith: N.G., Bro. D. McKenzie; V.G., Bro. J. Lyall; E.S., Bro E. MoCord;W., Bro. J. McClelland; G., Bro. R. Ruxton. It was unanimously decided that a P.O. Emblem, suitably framed, be presented to Bro. Jas W, Peters in recognition of the valuable services he has rendered the Lodge. Bro. Joseph Dixon intimated that he would present a gold medal to the member who introduced the most new members during the next twelve months. He was aoooided a hearty vote of thanks. It was decided to pay a fraternal visit to the Carterton Lodge at an early date. Bro. Deugarde was presented with a gold medal, which was forwarded from his own Lodge (Harry Oox Lodge, Broken Hill) in recognition of services rendered by bim while a member and officer pf that Lodge.
