VEGETABLE PIE. Cover tho bottom of a well-battered pie dish with thick slices of tomato, then put a layer of mashed potatoes, and with alternate layers fill the dish nearly to the top. Season with pepper and salt, oyer all pour a beaten egg, and finish off with a thick crust of bread crumbs.
