CHESS.
EKETAHUNA CLUB. A tournament is being held by the newly-formed Eketahuna Obess Club. Keen interest is being taken in the matches, and some good games, have been witnessed. There are a-number of fine players in the club, who, in inter olub matches, should give a good account of themselves. The following shows the position of the players, so far, in tbe tournament:—
On Saturday evening next a telegraphic ohess match will be played between the Masterton and Rangitikei Clubs. The following will represent the Masterton Club:—• Messrs F. Hummer, W. Kummer, H. Hummer, A. Dagg, J. Dagg, E. Rutherford, G. Rutherford, F. Lane, 0. Jones and F. Marshall.
