DISTRICT HIGH SCHOOLS. AN IMPORTANT MATTER. By Telegraph—Press Association. HAMILTON, Jane 22. A matter of very great importance affecting District High Suhoola was brought up by the headmaster at a meeting of the Llamiltun West High School. He stated that tho Railway Department was now refusing to grant freo railway tickets to District High School pupils, unless they have obtained scholarships. The fact waa that those who hud obtained scholarships d'd not attend school. Half of the High School pupils onme by rail, and the new regulations, if oontinued, would tneau ruin to tho aobool. It was explained that the Railway Department aid not carry pupils free, but debited the Education Department with the cost an 3 was presumed that the latter department was responsible for the change. The regulations were only issued last Tuesday by an Order-in-Council. it was resolved to protest, strongly to the authorities.
