COURT LOYAL ENTERPRISE A.O.F.
The quarterly summoned meeting of Court Loyal Enterprise, A.0.F., was held in the Foresters' Hall last evening, Bro. J. Budd, P. 0.R., presiding. Cunsiflerable correspondence was dealt with. Several apologies for absence were received. The following officers were elected tor tbe ensuing term:—O.K., J. Kitchener; fcJ.O.K., L. Attwood: Secretary, Mr Thos. Duncan; Treasurer, W. Candy; S.W., W. Blinbhorne; J.W., G. G. Johnson; 5.8., J. J. Fitzgerald; M.S., A. H. Gardner. It was decided to leave the election for the position of J.B. over till the next meeting. The following resolutions were carried in silenoe:— "That this meeting of Foresters of Court Loyal Enterprise desires to place on record its sense of the great loss sustained by the death of our late loved and honoured Premier, Richard John Seddon, whose life has been devoted to the good of humanity, the welfare of "uod's Own Country," and the unity of the Empire, and more par ticularly it is desired to acknowledge the great assistance given to the Friendly Societies of New Zealand by the late Prime Minister and his efforts in promoting the welfare of the aged and needy, as instanced in the preparation of a Bill providing for annuities" ; "that the heartfelt sympathy of this meeting of Foresters be offered to Mrs Seddon and family in their overwhelming loss."
Bro. Braggins reported that some of the members of the Carterton Lodge intended to visit Masterton, and take part in a Card Tournament with the Masterton Lodge.
