TE RANGI PAI.

The Te Rangi Pai pany will give a concert in the Town Hall on Friday evening. The Otago Daily Times, in its notice of the opening recital in Dunedin, says:— "A huge audience awaited the appearance of Te Rangi Pai, the great contralto, who since leaving our shores six years ago, has won in the world of soug the highest honours which a sinaer can aspire to, tas sung before almost every oiowned bead in Europe, and has gained the approbation of the most fastidious uf the world's audiences. 4 No finer art of vocalisation than was afforded by Te Rangi Pai could possibly have beeu placed before her hearers. Her perfect repose of manner, the easy production of the voio", her concentrated dramatic power, Bnd perfect finish of style stamped her as an artist of commanding ability and personality. She strikes one as an artist who has completely mastered the difficulties of technique, and nothing is move striking than the apparent simplicity and easiness of her performance. 1 ? Mr Handley Wells is a bass with a splendid range and, Mr W. B. Oadzow's tenor vioce should be heard to advantage in popular ballads. Madame Barnes the pianiste of the party, supplies the incidental accompaniments. The box plan is at Miss Rive's. '
