STRIKES IN THE PROVINCES. ST. PETERSBURG, June 16. Strikes have'occurred! at Kertoh, Odessa, Tula, and in many other provincial towns. Two thousand peasants vainly tried to stop the St. Petersburg - SebastoDol express train. They broke the windows of the train. THE BIELOSTQK RIOTS. JEWS MERCILESSLY BEATEN. HOUSES ROBBED AND BURNED. FURTHER BOMB OUTRAGES. SEVERAL SOLDIERS KILLED. Received Junb 17, 4.34 p.m. ' ST.' PETERSBURG, June 16. The BieloHtok riots have been renewed. Thousands of peasants have arrived. The mob robbed the deserted flats, and burned the Jewish houses. The Jewa were rceroilessly beaten, the women alone being spared. Two hundred and fifty were wounded. They are suffering terribly from the lack of physicians and medicaments. Rumours of an intended massacre have been current during the week. During the Corpus Christi prooessions two more bombs were thrown, one at the Catholic Ohurob ' procession, and the other at , the Greek Church procession. It is reported that a Catholic priest was blown to pieces, A third bomb thrown at a patrol policeman killed several soldiers and wounded six.. A thousand Jews have taken refuse in the foiests. Received June 17, 4.39 p.m. * ST. PETERSBURG, June 16. Further encounters have taken place between the rioters and the troops at Bielostok. Many have been killed and injured. The ringleaders have been arrested.
