EKETAHUNA STOCK SALES. Messrs Dalgety aid Co., Ltd., held their fortnightly sale at the Eketahuna yards yesterday (Friday), when there was a fair yarding of sheep, and a large entry of cattle. The weather was particularly severe, but there was a good attendance of buyers. All lines or sheep with one exoeption were cleared, but most of the cattle were passed out unsold. Fat and forward wethers reached 17s, ewes in lamb 10s lOd, culls ss, small 2 tooth wethers 12s 3d, shorn store lambs 8s sd, culls' 5s 7d, fat cowa £3 5s to £i 2s (3d, fat bullocks £6. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. report:—At their sales of stock this week in Pongaroa and Eketahuna, entries at each centre were fell up to the average, and the quality in nearly all oases good, the result being a clearance at sound rates. At Pongaroa on Wednesday best breeding ewea made 15s, others 12s, lis 6d and 10s 9d, lambs from 8s 6d, dairy cows from 60s, forward cows 50s to 60s, heifers 40s, 2% -year steers 60s, yearlings 275, weaners 7s 6d. At Eketahuna on Friday best qwes in lamb made 14s 9d, others lis and Bs, lambs 8b id, store cows 30s, heifers in calf 40s, forward cows 50s, weaners 5s 6d, horses and sundries at fair rates.
